After a long absence I am back with 2 new photos for you. I've been kinda busy having a life and a girlfriend and most recently being sick, but I got a little bored and decided to upload them today.
This first one is a photograph of a tiny bead of water, that was suspended on a single strand of spider silk, outside my front door. Once in a lifetime find for me.
This next one is of a pink flower in my back yard. It's been there for years and we've never been able to determine what it is, it's structured like a rose, but with softer, less uniform petals, and more stamen, and alot of very small, very sharp thorns.

Here I am again, with some more pictures of mine!

Here's the stormtrooper...well, he's more of an AT-AT driver, but a stormtrooper nonetheless. As you can see, I love action figures, and this one is vintage (it's from my aunt's old collection from the 80s).

This is a flower from my front yard...nothing special about it, it just looked beautiful.

Another flower from my front yard...I like the way this one just hung there, and I think I did a good job with this picture, considering it was windy and the flower itself was blowing all over the place.

I'm not even entirely sure what this is...I just thought it looked nice, and again like the previous picture, this was blowing all over in the wind so I think it turned out fairly nice.

Alrighty, so I suppose you can guess I am not the previous poster, but alas, here I am! I have tons of macro photos that would be great to share, actually, but I've just got two to post here today, which were actually taken today too. It would be wonderful to get outside and photograph all the flowers in my yard, and whatnot, but it's dark outside and almost midnight, so these came from inside my bedroom. More will come eventually, rest assured!

This was a little charm - I'm not sure what else to call it - on my graduation cap from high school. Yes, I was part of the class of 2010, first class of the new decade.

This here was a little charm on my keychain - which I have been pointed out is basically anything besides a keychain, since there's only one key on it, but I digress - that was given to me by my best friend. She bought a set of three, and gave one to her boyfriend and another to me, so it's fairly special to me - somehow, as if I feel I belong in some sort of group.
Also, you're welcome to use my photography for anything, provided the watermark is visible, just so that I'm credited to it regardless if you write me credit or not.

I apologize for my lateness, but as many of you know, winter can be rather dull for photography, being that everything is covered in snow, especially the small things I tend to notice.
This one is an interesting smudge on a wall.
This is a Depth of field view, same wall from a different angle.
This is a macro photo of a piece of sushi, which I soon thereafter ate.

Second Set
This is my Second Set for the Blog. I am also going to be writing tips on how to maximise the effectiveness of your camera for Macro Photography. I use a Fuji S700 myself, and I can produce near professional quality photos because I know how to. So watch for that.
Also, I've signed up for Amazon Associates, to show ads for relevant products and literature. So don't be afraid to click on some ads, you might find useful information.

Edit: This one ^, it turns out, was taken by a friend of mine on my Camera some time ago. Somehow it ended up in my archive labeled only with a number. Credit to Cat Mallette.

Life Up Close and Small
This Blog will be dedicated to the parts of life which most people don't notice because they are too small. I notice them because most of my life has been small and so I have always appreciated such details, and now wish to bring them to you. My first two are actually from a while ago, Faux Leather being from '08, and Moths from Summer '09.
All the photos on this blog will be mine and Copyright to me Unless Otherwise Noted. Likewise they will be free for personal use, provided the small watermark in the Bottom Right corner is visible, Unless Otherwise Noted. Any sort of professional, or organisational use, watermark or not, is subject to My discretion.
Professionally done prints can be requested, in any size, by e-mail:
jon.lacelle@gmail.com
And then mailed/shipped to you (depending on the size).
Costs will vary by size, print material, and ship-to address.
I will have price charts up as soon as I confirm printing locations, and shipping equations.
